Welcome to Rules Management

Rules Management allows the administrator to maintain a library of all business rules needed by the system, such as decisioning and data validation. After business policy rules are authored using this application, they are appropriately assigned throughout Temenos Infinity's Loan Origination and Account Origination modules to ensure execution at the appropriate time for the appropriate products.

Rules Management Home Screen

Business Rules are created and managed in the Rules Management Application, which can be accessed from the Rules Management home screen in System Management > Origination > Rules Management.

At the top of the Rules Management home screen, institutions are able to:

Refresh the Rules Management home screen.

View if the rule application is currently checked-out to one or more users, as well as the date and time that the rule application was last saved.

If a user has an exclusive lock on the rule application, the Checked Out To label displays the first and last name of the user. If there are multiple rule sessions in progress, the label displays the total number of open sessions.

View the date and time that the compiled rule application became current in Temenos Infinity.

The Rules Management home screen is organized into the following tabs:

Edit Rules

Within the Edit Rules tab, users are able to launch Rules Management, and view the RuleApp Difference Report.

To launch rules management, click . The rule application opens in a new window.

In addition to launching Rules Management, users are able to see an overview of the edits made to the rule application from the Edit Rules tab.

Upgrade Rules

The Upgrade Rules tab allows users to upgrade their institution's Rules Management application to a newer version.

Unless instructed by a Temenos Customer Care Representative, Rules Management upgrades should only be performed as part of a pre-upgrade process. For more information on performing an upgrade to the Rules Management application, see the Upgrading Rules Management topic.

Rule Sessions

The Rule Sessions tab provides an overview of the active rule sessions in the Lending rule application. From this tab, users are also able to end an active rule session.
